Whether you are interested in Exhibitions, workshops, Talks, Open Studios, Outdoor Art or Dancing at this year's Ashby Arts Festival, there is something for everyone.

Flags
Debra Hall has worked with children aged 5 - 16 from Woodcote Primary School, Hilltop Primary School and Lewis Charlton School to make 120 new flags.  Debra is photgraphed here with a few of the flags.  We hope that they will be going up 14th and 15th August.  As soon as the flags appear, it brightens everyone's mood and we know the Festival is imminent.  If you would like to find out more about Debra's other projects please see her website www.getsmartthroughart.co,uk

Exhibitions and Galleries
We are fortunate enough to be able to show an exciting range of work by regional and local artists in various town centre locations.  From traditional realism, to abstract and contemporary including work from some of this year's degree shows, there is a lot to see including paintings, photography and prints. Add exciting sculpture and installations, and Ashby has much to offer visually during the Ashby Arts Festival. Alongside these venues, we have lots of other exhibitions within easy walking distance. Even getting from one venue from another is a visual journey as visitors follow the Outdoor Gallery Trail between exhibitions, open studios, and workshops. So come along, enjoy what you see, learn more about techniques and ideas. Ponder the question "what is art?" and have the opportunity to purchase an original work.  Please contact Helen Joyce if you would like to be involved

You will require a trail ticket and a map to access all the exhibitions and open studios. These will be available at £3:00 per adult, and will be free for children. They will be available from all exhibitions, open studios, Ashby Tourist Information Centre, amd the Ashby Arts Festival Trailer on Market Street. The income from the Passport will help to fund future arts festivals and arts events in the town.
